Itinerary
Get picked up from Bagdogra airport or NJP station and drive up to Kurseong, a small hill town sitting at around 4,800 feet that's known for its tea estates and a noticeably quieter character than the more popular hill stations nearby. Check in and spend the evening browsing the local market at your own pace.
Start the morning at Eagle's Crag, a natural rock viewpoint with wide views of the Terai plains and the distant hills. Follow it with a guided tour of one of Kurseong's working tea gardens, where you can walk through the estate and learn about how Darjeeling tea is grown and processed. In the afternoon, head to Dow Hill, a forested area with a colonial-era atmosphere and the Victorian Chimney heritage structure nearby.
Enjoy a last breakfast before checking out and heading back down to NJP station or Bagdogra airport. Short as it was, Kurseong tends to leave a quiet impression.
