Day 01 :

Arrival in Lamahatta

Drive from NJP or Bagdogra to Lamahatta, a forested village in the Darjeeling hills that most people pass through without realising how good it is to stop. Check into a local homestay surrounded by dense pine and dhupi trees, and spend the afternoon at the Lamahatta Eco Park — a well-maintained forest clearing with a small sacred lake and walking paths that are easy to spend a few hours on.

Day 02 :

Takdah & Tinchuley Excursion

Drive out to Takdah for the day and explore the old British-era bungalows that still stand in various states of preservation, the Orchid Centre with its collection of Himalayan orchid varieties, and the Gumba Dara viewpoint with its wide open mountain views. Continue to Tinchuley to visit the local monastery and the hanging bridge before heading back to Lamahatta for the night.

Day 03 :

Lamahatta → NJP / Bagdogra
