Itinerary
Drive to Barot, a little-known valley in the Uhl River basin that sees far fewer tourists than it deserves. Arrive and spend the evening by the riverside, listening to the water and settling into the pace of one of Himachal's most peaceful offbeat destinations.
Visit the trout fish farm, one of the oldest in Himachal Pradesh, and learn a little about how it has been running since the British era. Spend the rest of the day wandering through the village, talking to locals, and taking in the unhurried rhythm of life here.
Trek across to Rajgundha, a remote highland meadow that opens up to wide valley views and a landscape that feels completely untouched. It's a light walk through forests and open terrain — the kind of day that doesn't need much of a plan to be memorable.
Head back to Chandigarh after breakfast, wrapping up a trip that traded crowded hill stations for something quieter, greener, and a little more real.
