Itinerary
Drive to Bir, a small Himalayan town that's earned a quiet reputation as one of the best paragliding destinations in the world. Spend the evening café hopping through the village and visit one of the local Buddhist monasteries for a peaceful end to the day.
Head up to Billing, the take-off point for paragliding, and experience a flight over the valleys below if you're up for it — the views from up there are something else entirely. Afterward, drive to Palampur, a green and unhurried hill town surrounded by tea gardens.
Take a slow morning walk through the tea gardens that Palampur is known for and soak in the fresh mountain air. Drive out to the nearby village of Andretta, a quiet artists' colony with old-world charm and a handful of studios and pottery workshops worth exploring.
Pack up after breakfast and begin the drive back to Chandigarh, carrying with you a few days' worth of mountains, cool air, and open skies.
